About Wibsey Library

This library is located in a former Mission Hall which was converted for library use in 1951 and extended in 1953-4. It is situated near the local shops. Roadside parking outside the library is permitted but space is usually limited. There is a small area of spare land to the sides of the building where parking is also possible. The floor area is 160 square metres and an internal refurbishment in 1999 provided new windows and redecoration throughout. External redecoration was also completed and a recent rearrangement of stock and shelving resulted in considerably opening up the internal space. Opening hours were extended in November 2005.

As well as over 12,000 books and free internet access the library offers regular storytimes and access to information throughout the district.
