As well as fiction and non-fiction book sections we have audiobooks, DVDs, computers with free internet access and a printer. We have newspapers and information on local events and societies.
We offer free beginners' computer courses.
We hold regular storytime sessions and rhymetime singing sessions, both followed by crafts for young children. During school holidays we have more activities for school age children.
We support various reading groups for adults and school children.
We have disabled access and an induction loop.

This purpose built library was opened in 1973 and has floor area of nearly 238 square metres. The building is a single-storey flat roofed property consisting of the library area with generous parking facilities both to the front and rear which are shared with the Kirklands Community Centre. This building is annexed to the library. As well as parking provision, there is also good access to the library with an alternative choice of steps or ramp to the main entrance.
As well as over 12,000 books and free internet access, the library offers access to information throughout the district.
