Bradford's Local Studies Library is in the old Central Library building. The space also includes West Yorkshire Archive Service.
The Local Studies Library offers over 6,000 lending books on public access movable shelving which can be moved to create temporary meeting/lecture space for local groups within the library.
There are 17 public PCs which can be used by customers and to deliver learning events in house or with external education providers.
Over 2000 bound volumes of original local newspapers from across the district will be kept in the new Local Studies archive store. Public access to historical local newspapers will be on filmed reels, with some titles available digitally.
Visitors also have use of a Digital film/fiche scanner and a digital book scanner.
