Pay your Council Tax
Direct Debit
Direct Debit is the quickest and easiest way to pay your bill. Direct Debit payers also have a choice of five payments dates each month: 5th, 10th, 15th, 25th and 28th.
You will need:
- your Council Tax reference number
- your Bank or building society details
- the Council Tax account name and the bank account name will need to match

You will need:
- your Council Tax reference number (from your bill)
In person
- Go to any PayPoint location.
- Maximum £300 per transaction. If you need to pay more than £300, you must make more than one payment.
Bank transfer or standing order
Make a payment to the Bradford Council bank account:
- Sort Code: 56-00-36
- Account number: 00143790
- Bank account name: City of Bradford Metropolitan Council.
- Reference: please enter your Council Tax reference number (from your bill). Do not add anything else to this reference as this will delay the payment reaching your account.
International banking
- Use IBAN: GB13NWBK56003600143790

- Reference: please use your Council Tax reference number (from your bill). Do not add anything else to this reference as this will delay the payment reaching your account.
- Add any transaction fees to avoid underpayment.
About your bill
- Request a copy of your bill
- Ask for your bill in a different format (for example, large print or Braille) - this is called the Extra Care Scheme
- Sign up to get your bill by email
Problems paying your bill
