The district's flagship pool hosts a huge range of swimming lessons and is the district's principal competition pool, having recently been recognised by the Amateur Swimming Association as a centre of world class diving excellence.

Booking for Sunday Swim for All sessions
You need to book online in advance for Sunday Swim for All sessions. No walk-ins are permitted. You can book up to 8 days in advance. You can transfer bookings up to 48 hours before your visit by contacting our reception team.
To book a session you will need to register for our online booking Leisure Hub. You only need to register once, and it is free.

Interested in joining one of our Club Active gyms?
We have a range of memberships available. Our Premium membership allows you to use any facility including classes and swim sessions. The membership is available on a non-contract basis payable by monthly direct debit.
Our Active membership is available for Bradford Leisure Card holders, young people aged 16 or 17 as well as those aged 60+.

Timetables
For swimming, the reception will close half an hour before each session finishes.
For the gym, the last admission is 1 hour before the gym closes.

Sessions explained
- Swim for all: a general swim in an open environment for all swimmers. (Bookable on Sundays)
- Adult only swim (laned): adults only (16+) lane swimming. Swimmers only.
- Women swim (laned): adults only (16+) lane swimming. This swim will be staffed with male and female lifeguards. Swimmers only. Male customers may be in the changing village.
- Women and Girls 13+: a general swim in an open environment for all swimmers. This swim will be staffed with male and female lifeguards. Male customers may be in the changing village. Girls aged 13 to 15 need to be accompanied my their mum, grandma and / or guardian.
- Family Swim: this session is for families only to swim, parents and / or grandparents and their children and / or grandchildren only. Unaccompanied adults and children will not be admitted. (Toys are available on Sundays)
- Steady swim: with one lane The swim is generally at a slower, more relaxed pace. Suitable for those with additional needs. Adults only (16+).
- Early Morning Swim: open age laned swim. Swimmers Only
- Adult and Child swim: Children aged 7 and under: this is a play session in the teaching pool only. Toys are available.
- Sensory Swim: This is a session for people with sensory issues and their families in a quiet and calming environment.

Pool safety and admission rules
- Children under the age of 8 years must be supervised by their parent, or an adult aged 16 or over (with a maximum of 2 children to 1 supervisor in the swimming pool water).
- Where applicable children over 8 years must use their own gender specific changing rooms.
- You are advised not to swim if you have consumed a meal within the last hour, or have had an upset stomach.
- Follow the lifeguards' instructions, they want you to have a great swim in safety.
Appropriate swimwear

Includes the following:
- swimming trunks
- Lycra leggings (including below knee)
- short and long-sleeve close-fitting t-shirts
- bikinis and tankinis
- swimming costumes
- knee and elbow length suits
- swim dresses
- swimming shorts
- knee length shorts including board shorts
- float suits
- neoprene float jackets
- swim nappies and medical swimwear
Inappropriate swimwear
Includes the following:
- underwear
- any garment with obscene or offensive pictures or slogans
- denim
- heavy garments, including cotton leggings, long flowing clothes and baggy t-shirts
Swimwear which is not made from chlorine-resistant materials may be damaged.
We would advise that weak or non-swimmers wear close-fitting swimwear, such as swimming trunks or a full swimsuit, to aid their learning experience.
We reserve the right to determine whether swimwear is appropriate.
Pool hygiene
All swimmers are requested to shower and use the toilet facilities before swimming.
Customers who have suffered from sickness or diarrhoea must not swim until symptom-free for 48 hours, or 14 days if diagnosed by a GP with Cryptosporidium.
Swim nappies must be worn by children not yet toilet trained.
