View building regulation applications 

Using the online planning system on a mobile device

Before you log in to the system on a mobile, you must first log in to it via a laptop or PC and accept the notification for GDPR consent. After doing this, you will be able to use the online planning system on a mobile.

If you log in to our online planning system on a mobile device without using a laptop of PC first, you will receive an error message that says 'Server Error'.

Viewing applications

You can view details of building regulation applications submitted to the Council on our online building control system. Guidance about how to use the features available can be found on the online building control system help page.

Please note that by using our online building control system, you are agreeing to our terms and conditions.

You should be able to view details for all applications submitted after 1 January 1995. Please note that documents associated with a building control file cannot be viewed via our online building control system.

Viewing historical files

Only limited details for building applications submitted between 1 January 1983 and 31 December 1994 are available on the online building control system.

Please note that applications from this period have an alternative historical reference number. This is the original reference number for these applications and can be used to locate the relevant record on the online system.

If you wish to obtain details of a building regulations application that are not available online please submit a 'Building Control Research Request' in writing. Please provide us with the as much information as possible including the property/site address, application reference number(s) (including historic reference numbers) where known and details of the information you require. There is a fee of £36 (including VAT) for this service.
