6. Referendum (27 July 2023)
A referendum relating the adoption of the Harden Neighbourhood Development Plan was held on Thursday, 27 July 2023. Those already registered to vote in local elections and live in the Harden area, were eligible to vote in this Referendum.
The question asked in Referendum was "Do you want City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council to use the neighbourhood plan for Harden to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?"
Referendum result
The results of the referendum held on Thursday 27 July 2023 were as follows:

Number cast in favour of a Yes | 303 | 87.3% |
Number cast in favour of a No | 44 | 12.7% |

Following the successful referendum, the Council will seek to formally "make" (adopt) the neighbourhood plan as part of the statutory development plan for the District.

This sets out details about the referendum including who is entitled to vote, the referendum expenses limit, number of persons entitled to vote, the procedure to be followed, details of what the specified documents are and where they can be inspected.

Voting Information (Voter ID)
