Anyone coming to Cliffe Castle Museum and Park next Wednesday (16 August) is likely to come across some magical visitors.

This is because the Fairy and Dragons Family Picnic is taking place there from 11am to 3pm. There will be a range of activities for families including:

  • A fairy and dragonfly doors hunt
  • Fairy performers and dancers, as well as other roaming characters
  • Face painting
  • Fairy crown making and other arts and crafts
  • Staff from Bradford Libraries promoting the summer reading challenge
  • A vintage car provided by the Police Museum.

Families are invited to come along with their picnics and young visitors can dress up – wings and wands are welcome.

Cllr Sarah Ferriby, Portfolio Holder for Healthy People and Places, said: “This is a great free event for local families, providing a fun way to explore Cliffe Castle Park. I hope the sun comes out on the day.”

Partners involved in the event include: Bradford Museums, Bradford District Parks, Bradford Libraries, Keighley Healthy Living, Cliffe Castle Support Group, 50 Things To Do Before You’re 5, National Science and Media Museum and the Police Museum.
