What is Breaking Boundaries?

Breaking Boundaries is a three-year programme funded by Spirit of 2012 in partnership with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), bringing young people, families and communities together through the power of cricket.

The project is currently being delivered in 5 cities: Manchester, Birmingham, Barking & Dagenham, Slough and here in Bradford. It is led by Sporting Equals and Youth Sport Trust in partnership with a consortium of organisations including; Street Games, Citizens UK, Cricket Trusts and Foundations, Local Authorities and Community Organisations.

Using the legacy of England’s incredible 2019 World Cup victory, Breaking Boundaries brings together different ethnicities and faiths as one cricket community, placing communities and young people at the heart of the programme.

All celebrating together as one cricket community

Breaking Boundaries places communities and young people are at the heart of the programme every year we train, develops and empowers over 100 young people a year (14-25) and their community organisations as ‘Community Champions’ through inspirational motivational speakers, creative workshops, activation funding and exciting volunteering opportunities.
