Our garden waste collection service is an easy way for you have your garden waste collected from your home.

When does it happen?

How much does it cost?

  • It costs £62 for the year
  • If you want an extra brown bin, it costs £47 extra
  • You must pay all at once and you can't get a refund if you move house or no longer require the service once subscribed.

What do you get?

  • A brown bin (240 litres) for your garden waste. New bins will only be provided for first-time subscribers. Renewed subscriptions will not receive a new bin.
  • A sticker to put on your bin so we know to empty it

Renew your subscription

  • If there are no changes to your subscription, then you can renew online. If you renew online we will be able to send you a reminder email the day before each of your collections

How to pay

  • The easiest way is to pay online with a credit or debit card
  • We can’t take cash payments using PayPoint right now, sorry. If you have difficulty paying for the garden waste service please ask a relative or friend to do it on your behalf.

What happens after you sign up

  • We'll send you a sticker before your first collection.
  • If you ordered a bin, it will arrive before 1 June.
  • Until then, you can take your garden waste to the nearest HWRC.

What you need to do

  • Put the sticker on the bin lid so it's easy to see
  • Make sure your bin is not mixed with other rubbish
  • Put your bin out by 6.30am on collection day
  • Check your collection dates online
