Health and Social Care Overview and Scrutiny Committee

The Committee is responsible for scrutinising the Council’s strategies, plans, policies, functions and services directly relevant to the priority outcomes of the Council Plan, in particular, 'Better Health, Better Lives' and 'Living with Covid-19'.

It also scrutinises local NHS policy and planning, and the impact that these have in meeting local needs and reducing health inequalities.  Its activity should reflect the priority outcomes of the Bradford District Plan (PDF), in particular that 'residents achieve good health and wellbeing' and the priorities set out in the West Yorkshire Integrated Care Strategy.

The Council may agree with one or more local authorities to establish a joint health Overview and Scrutiny Committee.
