Taking part in elections

As a democracy, it is important that as many people as possible can register to vote and have their voices heard via the ballot box, both locally and nationally. However, there may be some people who find they have difficulty in understanding how to take part and vote in an election.

If you, or someone you know, require extra assistance in understanding voting and elections, have a look at these five handy easy read guides.

For additional information, you can also see MENCAP’s easy-read guide to voting

If you would like to speak with someone about registration and voting, you can contact our Electoral Services team by telephone on 01274 432287 or email electoralservices@bradford.gov.uk.
