Paddle Safer and Discover Course – Stand Up Paddleboard
These courses are for adults wishing to develop their decision making and practical skills for a fun and safe time on the water, taking you on the next steps towards becoming a proficient and independent paddler. Learn how to choose and effectively use equipment, whilst developing an understanding of the factors which affect your paddling.
Over these three sessions we will learn how to:
- Consider the weather forecast and where is appropriate to paddle.
- Consider the equipment we need to keep us safe.
- Discover how to effectively move our boards and develop techniques to be able to deal with the prevailing weather.
- Develop rescue skills to be able to keep ourselves and other paddleboarders safe whilst on the water.
