Bradford Council receives approximately 150 complaints each year about audible alarms sounding falsely on both domestic and commercial premises. In the vast majority of cases the Council do not have key holder information so we cannot contact the owner of the alarm.
Action is therefore taken to silence alarms by cutting them off, with the costs of silencing the alarm being passed on to the owner. However, these costs can be avoided if key holder details are registered with the Council. We will endeavour to contact the people you have nominated so they can take action to silence the alarm.
