Notice of vacancy in the office of Councillor for Worth Valley ward
I must give notice, under Section 87(2)(b) of the Local Government Act 1972, that a vacancy exists in the office of District Councillor for the Worth Valley ward of City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council.
The vacancy has arisen due to the death of Cllr Russell Brown.
For a by-election to be held to fill the vacancy, a written request made by two registered local government electors in City of Bradford District Council must be given to:

On receipt of a valid request, the Returning Officer will set the date of an election to be held within 35 days (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and bank holidays), in accordance with Section 89(1)(b) of the Local Government Act 1972.
