MARAC

The Domestic Violence MARAC is a meeting where agencies talk about the risk of future harm to people experiencing domestic abuse, and if necessary their children, and draw up an action plan to help manage that risk.

Sharing information allows professionals to understand the needs of people experiencing domestic violence and to provide the right help to reduce the risk of future domestic violence.

Professionals

To make a referral to Bradford MARAC please complete the online MARAC form. 

To refer to MARAC without consent please complete and attach the Information Sharing without Consent form (Word document) to the online referral.

It is a good practice to complete a Dash risk checklist (Word document) with the victim of domestic abuse. This checklist helps to identify those who are at high risk of harm and therefore whose case should be referred to a Marac meeting.

Victims

If a worker has suggested that your case should be discussed at a domestic violence MARAC it is because he or she believes that you could be at risk of future harm due to domestic violence.

At the MARAC professionals will work to provide you with services that meet your needs and, where necessary, those of your children. They will also make a plan to help promote your family's safety.
