Highways Asset Management

Pothole Action Fund 2017-18

In 2017-18, the Department for Transport (DfT) provided Bradford Council with £428,000 of funding to permanently fix potholes or prevent them forming in the first place. This funding had to complement (rather than displace) planned highway maintenance expenditure.

The majority of the funding has been spent on surface patching to remove multiple pothole areas. The areas treated and associated costs are detailed in the attached documents. The remainder of the funding allocation was spent on additional resurfacing and preventative treatment work.
