31 - Entering and stopping in a box junction when prohibited

Yellow box junctions
- You should not enter the yellow box unless your exit is clear
- You may enter the box and wait when you want to turn right and are only stopped from doing so by oncoming traffic, or by other vehicles waiting to turn right.
- Gyratory box junctions are marked on the carriageway with yellow crisscross lines and at signalled roundabouts you should not enter the box unless you can cross over it completely without stopping.
- Yellow boxes are enforced with a camera, and you will receive a penalty charge notice through the post.

50 - (Right, Left or U Turns) - Performing a prohibited manoeuvre

No U Turn, No Right Turn, No Left Turn
- You must not perform a manoeuvre that is prohibited by the sign.
- This is enforced with a camera and you will receive a penalty charge notice through the post.
- An authorised vehicle may make an otherwise banned manoeuvre if it is in the permitted class to do so. The types of vehicle permitted to make an otherwise banned turn will always be shown by additional signage.
