How to pay your moving traffic Penalty Charge Notice (PCN)
You can pay your PCN online with your debit or credit card, using our secure online payment system.
What you need to pay online
You will need:
- the PCN number starting with DY5
- your vehicle registration number
We consider payment an admittance of liability and if you pay, we may not consider your challenge. The fine will not go up while we review your representation (appeal).

You can call us on 0345 1450071 – select option 8. Lines are automated and open 7 days a week. Debit and credit card payments only.
We do not accept cash, cheque or postal order payments. If you send payment through the post, we will not accept liability if it is lost.
What happens to any income raised through enforcement?
Any income from penalty charge notices is ring-fenced by law and reinvested in transport, road safety, and related improvements.
