Bradford Leisure Card

Changes to the Passport to Leisure (PTL) Scheme

The Passport to Leisure (PTL) Scheme is changing its name to the Bradford Leisure Card.

The scheme has recently been reviewed and is now being launched under its new name.

The Bradford Leisure Card will entitle you to reduced admission for a wide range of leisure activities for 12 months, including:

  • Less than half price admission to all normal public swim sessions
  • Free admission and equipment hire and half price activity charge with up to 48 hours advance booking at Sports Centres
  • Half price for games of bowls, tennis, putting and pitch and putt
  • Discount at Doe Park Water Activities Centre
  • Discount at the Alhambra Theatre and St George’s Hall
  • Reduced prices at East Riddlesden Hall, Pictureville, IMAX, Bradford Bulls and Bradford Ice Rink

The card will cost slightly more: £3 per year for adults, £1.50 per year for children and £6 for an over 60’s 3 year card. However, you will no longer need to provide a passport photo.

How do I apply for a Bradford Leisure Card?

Download and complete our application form and take it to one of our local sports centres or pools (listed below) or visit one of our centres where you'll be able to fill in a form. You will also need to bring proof of eligibility and a separate document confirming your address.

You will be considered eligible if you live in the District of Bradford and:

  • are over 60 years old
  • are receiving universal credit or other means tested benefit
  • are receiving working tax credit
  • are aged 16 to 19 in full time education or training
  • are receiving carers or fostering allowance

You will receive an email or phone call to verify your eligibility and your details will be added onto our system. Applicants will be contacted to let them know whether they have been successful or not and that their card is ready for collection at their chosen facility. Please note that this process can take up to 10 working days.

Please check below to see what times your chosen centre is issuing the new Bradford Leisure Card. Call into the centre at one of the agreed times, bringing photographic proof of your ID (eg passport or photo driving licence) and the appropriate fee. You will be then issued with your card, which you can use at all our facilities for 12 months. For children and other dependant family members please complete separate applications.
