Getting rid of electrical items

You can recycle electrical items by taking them to a Household Waste Recycling Centre. If you can’t move big electrical items yourself, you can book a collection.

We work with a company that collects and recycles large electrical items. They try to reuse, fix, or recycle them.

  • Remove personal data from electronics before collection.
  • Fridges/freezers must have doors – they won’t take them without.

  • Put items outside at the front of your home by 7am on collection day.
  • They won’t collect from the back, inside, or upstairs.

They won’t go inside homes, sheds, or garages.

  • Crews can’t take payment on the day
