Following the referendum, held on 16 July 2026, City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council agreed to formally make (adopt) the Bingley Neighbourhood Development Plan on 28 July 2026.

The Bingley Neighbourhood Development Plan forms part of the development plan for Bradford district and will be used to help determine planning applications within the neighbourhood area.
