When a baby, toddler or pre-schooler becomes a member of Bradford Libraries they can also join Bradford Libraries Bear Club for under 5s. They will get a passport to start collecting paw print stamps.

Each time a child borrows books or attends a Story Time, Rhyme Time or library activity / event, they can have a paw print stamped in their passport.

On completing a page with a sixth stamp, they will get a certificate and a small reward.

These are generally as follows:

• Certificate 1 – sticker
• Certificate 2 – bookmark
• Certificate 3 – swim voucher for a free parent and under 5s swim at any of Bradford Council's swimming pools
• Certificate 4 – finger puppet
• Certificate 5 – small teddy bear
• Certificate 6 – cloth bag and fabric pen
• Certificate 7 – swim voucher for a free parent and under 5s swim at any of Bradford Council's swimming pools.
• Certificate 8 – board book or touch and feel book
• Certificate 9 – picture book
• Certificate 10 – goody bag (this contains a selection of items which vary from bag to bag)

When a child gets their tenth certificate they have completed the Bear Club scheme!

Under 5s can start a new passport if they wish. 

Children aged 5 and over can start on The Secret Book Quest.
