The Purpose of the District Strategy

The District Strategy drives the partnership work that is needed for the district to maximise the impact of our assets and opportunities and to address our challenges.

We have worked together to agree a strategy which sets out our shared priorities for the district for the next ten years, what we will do together to achieve these and how we will measure success.

It sets out the key ambitions which we will work on together and provides the framework for the plans of individual organisations.

It articulates our shared vision for the district, and our focus on four priority ambitions, underpinned by key principles. Achieving two cross cutting missions to reduce inequality and poverty and promote sustainability are integral to each of the ambitions.
