Register for the Public Procurement Gateway (PPONG)
To bid for Bradford Council contracts, you must register on the Public Procurement Gateway portal.
What is PPONG?
The Public Procurement Gateway is the digital platform where we manage our tenders. Once registered, you can:
- Access full tender documentation
- Ask questions about opportunities
- Submit your bids electronically
- Track your applications
How to register
Step 1: go to the portal
Go to the Public Procurement Gateway portal:
Click on "Register" or "Sign Up" in the top right corner
Step 2: choose your registration type
Select "Supplier/Contractor" registration (not buyer)
Step 3: provide your details
You'll need:
- Your company name and registration number (if limited company)
- Contact details (email, phone, address)
- Business sector/categories you operate in
- VAT number (if applicable)
Step 4: verify your email
You'll receive a verification email – click the link to activate your account
Step 5: complete your profile
Add information about:
- Your company's capabilities and experience
- Certifications (ISO standards, accreditations)
- Insurance details
- Financial information (may be required for larger bids)
Step 6: set up alerts
Choose which categories interest you so you receive notifications when relevant opportunities are published
Tips for registration
- Keep your profile up to date – we may use it for market research
- Ensure your contact details are current so you don't miss opportunities
- Upload key documents (insurance certificates, policies) in advance to save time when bidding
- Registration is free – you should never be charged to register on PPONG
