Clean Air Zones are being introduced in cities across England to improve air quality and the health of people who live and work there. There will be a daily charge to drive into the zone for vehicles that do not meet the required emission standards. Private cars and motorbikes will NOT be charged in Bradford’s CAZ but may be charged in other cities with zones.

A new funding of £1.7m to increase the electric vehicle grants is now available for taxis.
The lead in period for the Clean Air Zone has been extended and it will now launched in Spring 2022. This will allow businesses more time to use the clean air funding available to upgrade their vehicles, and a new £1.7m fund to increase the grants available electric taxis.
