Keighley Pride in Place

Pride in Place is a Bradford district programme funded by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government. It aims to grow strong communities, let places thrive and empower local people.

The Pride in Place Programme launched this summer in Keighley and district and will start from the ground up, beginning with extensive community engagement.

The focus will be on getting to know the residents, businesses and community groups in our town and discovering what encourages their feelings of pride in their “place”.

Following Pride in Place Conversations and input from local people, the funding will be invested directly into the Keighley community, and the plan is outlined in the 10-year regeneration plan (PDF) and 4-year investment plan (PDF). Alongside other funding, the aim is to ensure that the investments made will deliver welcome improvements to our town such as providing jobs and training opportunities, cultural experiences and social, economic and psychological benefits for the people who live and work here.
