Unemployment in Bradford District
The most recent unemployment figures for August 2026 were published by the Office for National Statistics on 15 September 2026.
The data shows that 24,330 people were claiming unemployment benefit in August 2026 - a rate of 6.9% of the working age population an increase of 465 claimants since last month and a decrease of 345 claimants since July 2025.
There were 5,535 claimants aged between 18 to 24 and 4,535 claimants aged 50+.
