City Park vehicle access policy
Key points
- Managed by Bradford Council since March 2012
- Vehicle access only for operational purposes with permission
- Unauthorised access may result in a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN).
Access times
- 6am to 10.30am for maintenance, deliveries, contractors
- All vehicles must leave by 11am
- Loading must be continuous;.unattended vehicles over 15 minutes may get a PCN.
How to enter
- Entry via Hall Ings through bollards between Magistrates Court and City Hall
- Bollards are controlled by the CCTV control room.
Safety
- Pedestrian priority area
- Use hazard lights
- Maximum speed 5 mph
Outside normal hours
- Emergency deliveries:use loading bays on Norfolk Gardens
- No convenience parking for staff or visitors
- Exception: Lord Mayor's vehicle
Special events
- Request access 48 hours in advance
- Provide full vehicle details
- Large events: SIA security must verify vehicles before entry
Weddings
- One car allowed through bollards
- Book via Register Office 14 days before
- Other cars use nearby car parks
Civic Affairs
- Lord Mayor's car has 24 hour access and parking
Security checks
- Drivers must confirm vehicle details when asked by CCTV operators
Enforcement
- City Centre Wardens issue of PCNs for illegal parking

- Fire, ambulance and police have 24 hour access
