The Local Plan for the Bradford District
The Planning Policy Team is responsible for producing a Local Plan which guides future growth in the Bradford District. This helps decide where and when development can take place.
Planning Policy also provides inputs on strategic planning issues and joint plans and supports communities on Neighbourhood Planning, as well as producing reports on monitoring and data analysis.
The currently adopted Local Plan provides a strategic framework for all new developments within the Bradford District, and is used as a basis for making decisions on planning applications.
The Council is preparing a new Local Plan for the Bradford District. This builds upon the work undertaken at the Regulation 18 consultation stage and has now reached the Regulation 19 Publication Draft stage.
