Finding a home to rent

In 2003, Bradford 'Council houses' were transferred to Incommunities (formerly Bradford Community Housing Trust).

Incommunities is the major social housing provider in the Bradford district, managing almost 22,500 houses, flats and sheltered housing.

Social housing is allocated by a Value Based Lettings (VBL) system. You can find out more about the system, and how it works.

Renting from a private landlord

The Private Sector Lettings Scheme works with Bradford Council's Housing Options Service to assist customers to find good quality private rented accommodation.

If you approach the Housing Options Service, then they may refer you to the Private Sector Lettings Scheme to help you find private rented accommodation. This, in some cases, can be quicker than finding Social Housing.
