Member Interests represented Background
Pam Allen Equestrian, walker, environmentalist, and local historian. Born and raised in Baildon, where her very first experiences of local access were from a pram. Remaining resident there and being particularly interested in the protection of local wildlife and countryside, utilising wider locality on a daily basis. Identifying a need to raise the profile of equestrians in the district and bring together a number of groups, Pam set up the Wharfedale and Airedale Horse Organisation (WHOA) to raise awareness of the Deregulation Bill cut-off date. A member of a number of related organisations and an access and safety volunteer with the British Horse Society. Motivated by the need to improve access to the outdoor environment for all sections of the community and believing where funding is limited, it should be used to support this aim.
Nick Dybeck Walking, running. Walker and fell runner who enjoys exploring the countryside via rights of way and access land. Member of Ramblers and their Footpath Officer for Bradford district. Member of Friends of Ilkley Moor and active in their maintenance work group. Member of Inland Waterways Association who campaign to protect and restore waterways as green/blue corridors and towpaths for walking/cycling. Keen to challenge barriers to inclusive access to the countryside.
Didy Metcalf Horse riders, landowners and tenants, and equalities. Didy has been walking and riding in Bradford District since the 1950s and knows the area well. She is also a former carriage driver.
Didy owns and leases small amounts of land within the district and owns and manage tenanted land elsewhere, so keeps up to date with issues affecting landowners.
Didy is keen to work with the Council to help improve delivery of an efficient rights of way network for everyone and is particularly interested in securing improvements to the bridleway network.
Bradford’s cultural heritage is very important to Didy and she has been researching local history for about 20 years. Member of:
  • British Horse Society
  • West Yorkshire Archaeological Society
  • Country Land and Business Association
  • Acting secretary for the Regional Access Forum

Mark Corrigan Horse Riders and Carriage Drivers I am The British Horse Society’s Yorkshire Access Field Officer. I have competed in endurance riding across the area for over 10 years. I aim to improve the public rights of way network across the Bradford District by ensuring that incorrectly or under recorded routes are correctly recorded, ensuring that these routes remain for future generations and are not extinguished by the 2031 cut-off date. I have been researching and recording routes for 10 years submitting over 150 definitive map modification applications. I am also a member of The Institute of Public Rights of Way.
Andrew Beck Walker, Trail rider, interested in social history and fair land access Brought up in Bradford, and a Chartered Mechanical Engineer, Andy is passionate about local access in general. He is also a member of the West Yorkshire branch of the national Trail Riders Fellowship (TRF), keen to promote the therapeutic benefits of motorcycle trail riding and the TRF code of conduct. Andy currently collates information for TRF's Green Road Map of motorcycle-legal lanes in the Bradford area
Marylin Banister Menston Parish Council A Menston Parish Councillor since 2022, Marilyn has a keen interest in promoting walking and cycling in the area in which she has now lived for over 40 years. She is a member of the Wharfedale Greenway Steering Group and chairs the local climate action group in Menston and an eco-group at the Parish Church. Has worked on producing a Let's Get Walking leaflet for residents of Menston and a Heritage Trail for the village
Keith Binns Walking, cycling

I have lived in the Worth Valley all my life and am an active walker and cyclist, as well as being a member of a local cycling group. I am also standing for election in Keighley West, and I’m committed to improving access and opportunities for people across the area.
Although I have a particular interest in creating safer routes down the Worth Valley, I joined the Local Access Forum to contribute to better access to the countryside and stronger links across the whole district for all users. I want to support improvements that benefit walkers, cyclists, horse riders, and others who rely on our local network.
Listening to family, friends, and the wider community, I know how valuable safe and well‑connected routes are for commuting, recreation, and tourism. I look forward to working with the Forum, the council, and local groups to help strengthen access for everyone
