Apply for a place at school

Unfortunately the online application system is experiencing intermittent technical difficulties. Our IT Team are working to resolve the issue urgently. If you wish to submit a Y7 application for entry in September 2025, please check the system again next week. The deadline for Y7 applications is 31 October 2024. If your child is not currently in school and you need to make an in-year application, please download a form from our in-year applications page and email this to schooladmissions@bradford.gov.uk. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.

Year 7 applications for entry in 2025

You need to apply to the local authority where your child lives. If your child lives in the Bradford District, you should apply through the online admissions system between 12 September 2024 and 31 October 2024.

If your child is currently in Year 6, but was not born between 1 September 2013 and 31 August 2014, you will be unable to apply through the online system. If your child is formally offset and you have not received a paper form through the post by the end of September, please contact the School Admissions Team to request a copy.

Some schools require you to fill in a Supplementary Information Form (SIF) directly as well. This may have an earlier closing date than the council application.

If your child has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) please do not apply through the online system. You will be sent a separate letter and preference form by the SEN team. For further information please contact SEN@bradford.gov.uk.
