Parliamentary Boundary Review

The Boundary Commission for England (BCE), an independent public organisation, responsible for reviewing Parliamentary constituency boundaries in England, commenced its review, 13 September 2016. The BCE must make final recommendations for the new boundaries to Government in September 2018.

The first stage of the consultation for the 2018 Parliamentary Boundary Review, reducing the number of constituencies in the UK from 650 to 600, will run for 12 weeks until 5 December 2016.  Anyone can participate and provide their views on proposals for their area.  All representations made will be published and the BCE will produce revised proposals, taking into consideration all representations and any submissions made during the consultation period.

Representations about the proposals can be made directly to the Boundary Commission for England, via their interactive consultation website at www.bce2018.org.uk, or in writing to the Boundary Commission for England, 35 Great Smith Street, London, SW1P 3BQ
