Equipment and what to bring

All participants will need to bring swim wear, a towel and footwear for on the water, not slip on crocs or flip flops.

Everyone will be offered a wetsuit, anyone under 18 must wear this, adults have the choice of a wetsuit or to wear their own clothes, although we do recommend wearing one during colder weather.

All specialist equipment will be provided. People with their own may be asked to use the centres equipment if they do not meet current safety requirements.

Safety and expectations

Every participant must fill out a registration form on their first visit. This must be signed by a parent/carer if you are under 18.

Participants will be supervised by qualified centre staff and volunteers. Participants must follow their advice with regards to equipment and suitability for activities.

Participants will be expected to stay in specific areas for each activity. Each area will have a safety coach and they are your first port of call for any help or advice.

You must notify them if you wish to change activity or come off the session early.

At no point must anyone be on the water away from a safety coach please stay with your group.

All equipment must be collected and returned to the appropriate area by the participant. Staff will be on hand to help and give advice on use and correct lifting techniques.

Anyone found misusing the centre, staff or equipment will be asked to leave without refund.

A duty manager will be on hand to offer further advice or deal with any queries or concerns.
