Adventure Activities Development Unit - price list from 1 January 2015

The Community Adventure Team based at Baildon Recreation Centre provides a mobile team of Instructors to deliver outdoor education, training and activity programmes.

A variety of venues can be used to arrange day or evening programmes and residentials.

Qualified instruction and specialist equipment is available for the following activities:

  • rock climbing 
  • abseiling 
  • caving 
  • mountain walking 
  • gorge scrambling 
  • orienteering 
  • camping and expeditions 
  • group problem solving and team development exercises 
  • canoeing 
  • kayaking 
  • sailing 
  • raft building 
  • high ropes 
  • archery 
  • survival 
  • mountain biking

Doe Park Water Activities Centre offer water based activity and skills courses and Team Development games. Group Instruction charges are as below. Separate price lists are available for courses, pay and play and self-led sessions.

The overall cost of a programme of activities is based on the charges outlined below. A fully inclusive price will be quoted when a booking is made. This will include any additional charges such as residential accommodation, transport and catering costs. VAT is not charged on activity programmes.

Minibus use - including driver and mileage (up to 50 miles) £96 (per day)
Van hire - if required for equipment carriage - includes driver and mileage (up to 50 miles) £51 (per day)
Additional mileage charges 56p per mile
Additional hours £30 (per hour)

Safety

The Adventure Activities Development Unit (Community team) holds the appropriate Adventure Activities Licence for Climbing, Abseiling, Gorge Scrambling, Caving, Mountain Walking, Kayaking, Open Canoeing, Improvised Rafting and Sailing.

Doe Park Water Activities Centre holds its own licence for Kayaking Open Canoeing, Sailing and Improvised Raft-building as well as being a recognised British Canoe Union and Royal Yachting Association Training Centre.

All Instructors are appropriately qualified.

Bradford Council's Public Liability Insurance applies to all programmes.
