The City Centre Sports Facility will be located at the junction of Croft Street and Nelson Street in the centre of Bradford. This central location will have excellent links to the road and public transport networks.
The site is currently home to a car park and to Britannia Mills which will be demolished to make way for this exciting new development.
The City Centre Sports Facility will be the flagship aquatics venue for the district and will contain a 25m, 8 lane competition standard swimming pool as well as wet and dry diving facilities. There will also be a fitness centre and a number of studios for exercise classes.

In January 2015 the Council’s Executive committee was presented with a summary of work undertaken by Deloitte and Council officers. Councillors resolved to undertake a programme of facility improvement. We are now preparing a detailed design brief for the City Centre Sports Facility.

We are in the process of appointing consultants to help us develop the designs for the facility. The consultants will be a company with a proven track record of providing swimming pools and leisure facilities to public sector organisations. The consultants will bring with them a team of architects, quantity surveyors, building services engineers and other professional services in order to develop the best facilities for the residents of Bradford.
At the next design stage we will present the plans to the public.
