Get involved in New Deal

We are talking to residents about what you can expect from local services, your rights and responsibilities, how you and other people could help by doing things differently and what support you might need.

There are many ways you can get involved:

  • Be an ‘active citizen’ – look after yourself and your family and a be great member of your community
  • Read stories and be inspired by activities organised by local community groups and the Council
  • Talk to us on social media
  • Keep up-to-date about changes that are being proposed. These will be publicised in many ways including on this website, through area committees where relevant, via social media and through the local press.
  • Take part in formal consultations, questionnaires and local neighbourhood events to find out more and give your feedback

We don't have all the answers, so it is really important that we talk to people about the changes we will have to make, and get your feedback to help us make decisions.

You might also have ideas about how we can involve as many people in the district as possible in the New Deal activity, including other people who use our services.
