We don't have all the answers. We want people to tell us their ideas.
We’ve asked people about specific issues and our ideas about what might change, how they might get more involved in improving education, what they can do to help improve recycling and reduce the costs of waste disposal, how they can help to boost the local economy or volunteer to help out with local services.
Feedback from our initial series of events and comments made through our online consultation form and email is included in the document below.

These conversations are helping the Council and our partners to develop choices and plans about the future that will strike a new deal with people about what they can expect from local services and how they can work together with us and do more themselves to help.
Over 2016 there will be more events and initiatives that will look at how we can change the way we do things and provide more people with the chance to have their say.
Your feedback is being shared with councillors and Council officers, as well as partner organisations. Your ideas, thoughts and views are being considered, and used to inform options and proposals about the future. Where people have suggested ideas that are felt to be viable they will be considered for development.
The New Deal online public consultation and email and freepost addresses will remain live, enabling you to continue to send in ideas and comments to further contribute to the work being done.
We will continue to keep you updated through this website, social media and the local press.
In the meantime, there are lots of other ways for you to continue to give us your views.
