Make Bradford your next step in social care

Introduction

Are you thinking of a career change or, as a new graduate, keen to join a Children’s Service that knows its direction and invests in its workforce? If you are thinking of making Bradford your next step have a look here to get a flavour of what it is like working in our District.

Bradford Children’s Services have frequent recruitment for talented, passionate and experienced social workers who are committed to ensuring the children and families of the district reach their full potential.  We also have a range of other roles available from time to time and all posts are advertised through the council’s job pages.  We pride ourselves on listening and responding to feedback from our workforce and creating an environment where good, quality and innovative social care work thrives.

To support our work with children and families across the district, all social care staff will continue to be supported and trained in Signs of Safety, ensuring our focus is on both the family’s strengths and the safety of the child/young person. Social care staff have embraced the framework and regularly report how effective it is in supporting them in the work they do and do it well. Our partners across the District are also embracing Signs of Safety including health, schools, police and voluntary sector partners.

If you feel you have the attributes that we are looking for and want to be part of our journey and our future, please look at our vacancies section and the other information available here.  If you would like to have a general discussion about our social work opportunities, please contact the Principal Social Worker who will be happy to have a conversation with you.  For other posts each one advertised should have a service contact for you to have a discussion with.
