Post-16 education in the Bradford District and the need for change
Bradford’s report into post-16 education and training across the Bradford District was published on Friday, 15 July 2016.
The report was produced by a broad steering group. The group includes representation from schools, colleges, Bradford University, business representatives and Bradford Council.
The report sets out a new approach into how post-16 education should be delivered in the future so that young people are offered high quality A level and vocational education and training.
It follows an in-depth review of post-16 provision that was carried out in the autumn of 2015 and after meetings held with secondary headteachers in the summer of 2015.
Work to implement the new framework will begin in September 2016 and is expected to last two years.
