The West Yorkshire combined Authority Investment Committee has announced a £5 million fund to help small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) across the Leeds City Region to recover from the effects of the recent flooding.
Grants of between £5,000 and £100,000 will be available. The fund could help businesses to buy new equipment or hire costs for machinery and premises needed to restart or maintain their business. It could also go towards putting in internal flood resilience measures. Each application will be reviewed on a case by case basis and will need to be accompanied by a detailed flood recovery plan.
