Young people working with Bradford Council’s Youth Service are embracing the true spirit of Christmas by helping the homeless.

The vulnerable youngsters, between 12 and 18 years old, have been taking part in a project with Bradford Council.

Ten of the young people have volunteered to help deliver a soup run for homeless people on 27 and 28 December 2017.

This is organised by a partnership between Bradford West Youth Service, local businesses and the community.

Bookers Cash and Carry will be donating the ingredients, the Dubrovnik Hotel will be providing space and supporting in preparing the soup and the Peacock bar will be helping to store and warm up the soups on the day.

Coun Abdul Jabar, Executive Member for Neighbourhoods and Community Safety, said: "It's great to see these young people who have difficulties themselves reaching out to help others.

"Many people come together at this time of year to show how much we can make a positive difference to other people’s lives. It's sure to be a positive experience for them."
