Seasonal Tips
Welcome to the Seasonal Tips section of Fleet Services.
Spring:
- Wash your vehicle under its chassis to remove road salt and avoid the rot!
- Top up your levels after a cold winter.
Summer (Holiday time):
- Plan your route and include stops!
- Check coolant level & fan belt to avoid overheating.
- Check all tyre pressures and tread depth (don’t forget the spare).
- Check other oil and washer bottle levels.
- 5ltr fuel can and spare water.
Autumn:
- Check lights.
- Ensure windows are clear to avoid glare.
- Antifreeze check to ensure it is sufficient strength to avoid freezing and costly repairs.
Winter:
- Screen wash & wiper blades.
- Ensure demisters and saloon heaters are working correctly.
- Keep checking for coolant leaks.
- Check tyre tread depths.
And just in case:
Shovel, antifreeze, blanket, road salt, tow rope and warm clothing.
