Fleet Services Overview
Welcome to the Fleet Services section of Bradford Council
Our Aim:
To provide a supreme, cost effective, vehicle maintenance service, unrivalled and unsurpassed by any internal or external supplier.
Our primary purpose is the procurement, servicing, maintenance, repair, and disposal of the City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council’s fleet of vehicles, plant, and machinery. We also have Service Level Agreements with non-council customers.
In addition, we supply fuel, manage the car-leasing scheme, provide a technical and legal help line service, and deal with requests for short-term hire of vehicles.
We have two workshops, one at Stockbridge in Keighley and the other at Shearbridge in Bradford. Both sites now have excellent vehicle wash facilities.
The installation of LPG (liquid petroleum gas) facilities is in progress at both our depots.
Hackney Carriage and Private Hire vehicle testing is carried out at our Shearbridge Workshop, Bradford.
