A Cleaner, Safer & Greener Bradford District.
Bradford Council knows that making the district a cleaner, safer and greener environment is what matters to you the most. That is why we are investing in key areas such as Environmental Services, Street Wardens and Parks.
We are investing heavily in services and equipment to help tackle issues which you have highlighted as priorities for our communities. We are addressing issues such as graffiti, abandoned vehicles, fly-tipping, anti-social behaviour, crime reduction, rubbish collection, recycling and the provision of greener spaces.
The Council is committed to making the district a better place to live, work, play and visit.
But we can't do it alone! To really make a difference we need your help.
This webpage explains what we are doing to make our communities cleaner, safer and greener. It also provides information on how you can do your bit and get involved.
It's our district - so let's all be proud of it!
Greener
The Bradford district has some fantastic parks and outdoor spaces and we are continually striving to improve them. Bradford Council invests over £3 million per year to keep our 37 parks, more than 100 play areas and over 170 sports pitches as clean, safe and green as possible.
Drive around the district or walk the city's streets and you will find beautifully tended flower beds, hanging baskets, and highway verges. We also manage some fine woodlands and moors.
The Council is continually working to improve and expand its recycling service with more residents than ever now taking part and is developing its own greener environmental practices.
’Lister Park is a great place to go on a weekend for a couple of hours. I take my two boys down, they like the park and having a go on the boats on the lake. I just like the beauty of the place - it's somewhere nice to go’
