Viewing Planning Files

Viewing Current Applications

You can view details of current applications on PublicAccess for Planning on the Council’s website. This includes a copy of the application form, plans, and supporting information. Applications are normally available to view within 24 hours of an application being validated.

Copies of current applications are also available for inspection at the Planning Reception point at your local planning office/Keighley One Stop Shop during normal office hours.

If you require a copy of the scaled plans for inspection at a more convenient time you will be required to complete a statutory declaration form that allows you to obtain a copy of the plans and confirms that you accept responsibility for any copyright breach. There is a charge for this service.

Any representations and consultation responses received in relation to a current planning application and officer planning panel reports (where relevant) are also available to view on PublicAccess.

Alternatively if you wish to inspect these and/or other documents from the planning officer’s file, we require 48 hours notice as current files are working documents and may be in use by the case officer. Also files may not be in the office as they are being used for site visits or meetings elsewhere.

To arrange to view application file documents on Public Access or at a planning reception point please contact the Planning Service on 01274 434605 or complete the online request form. Please provide us with as much information as possible about your requirements and include the planning reference number where known.

Viewing Planning History Files

You can view details of planning applications submitted since 1 January 1997 on PublicAccess for Planning on the Council’s website. This includes a copy of the application form, plans, supporting information, decision notice and S106 agreement (where relevant). Please note that for data protection reasons not all documents associated with a planning file may be made available to view via Publicaccess.

Application files submitted prior to 1 January 1997 are retained at an external archive. However, a limited number of records are available on PublicAccess.

If the application or documentation you require is not available to view online please contact the Planning Service on 01274 434605 or complete the online request form, to arrange to view the application file/documents.
We require at least 48 hours notice if you wish to view historic records as we have to retrieve them and then either make them available on PublicAccess or at a planning reception point. Please provide us with as much information as possible about your requirements and include the planning reference number where known.
