The Yorkshire and Humber Plan2

The Yorkshire and Humber Plan - The Regional Spatial Strategy

The Government published the Yorkshire and Humber Plan (The Regional Spatial Strategy) in May 2008. The Plan sets out the broad development strategy for the region. It covers topics such as housing, economic development, transport, the environment and regeneration. The Plan also sets the housing targets which must be delivered by each local authority. The broad location for these houses is outlined in the Core Strategy for Bradford.

The Yorkshire and Humber Assembly are now looking to update the Plan (2009 Update) to look at housing growth in the Region. The 2009 Update will look at again the scale of growth, locations for growth and what infrastructure is needed to accommodate the growth.

As part of this update, the Yorkshire and Humber Assembly has produced a '2009 Update' webpage which highlights the ongoing work. The Assembly will be using this webpage to distribute information and provide updates on work streams and meetings.

It is important that the 2009 Update takes into account the views and ideas of the Region, and to do so please click on the link which will take you directly to the '2009 Update' page.
