The Shop Front Design Supplementary Planning Documents (SPD) provides guidance on the design of shop fronts throughout the district. The SPD supports the saved policy D13 in the Adopted Replacement UDP.

Bradford Council has prepared a Draft Supplementary Planning Document on Shop Front Design. This has been prepared to encourage high standards of design for retail premises across the whole District and stimulate the resulting wider economic benefits, in support of policies contained in the adopted Replacement Unitary Development Plan. The draft SPD has been the subject of a Sustainability Appraisal and was also made available for public comment.

The 6 week consultation period consultation closed on Tuesday 26 June 2007.

It should be noted that the consultation period on the Draft Shop Fronts Design Guide has closed.
