Type Approval
Local authorities got together many years ago to form the Local Authority National Type Approval Confederation (LANTAC) which offers builders and developers a once only approval for units, buildings, products and systems which are of a standard design repeatedly built or used in different parts of the country. Once approval is obtained other local authorities will accept the Type Approval without the need for a further plan check.
The service is intended to achieve faster approval, consistency of interpretation and less time with administration. If you want to know more simply ring any of our Building Control offices.
